and raised in the Matagorda area & has been fishing here since
he was 6 years old. He comes from a family of commercial fishermen.
His father is also a full-time Matagorda fishing guide and
brother operates a local Matagorda Bait Camp. Captain Mark
is a full-time guide who knows where the fish are by being
on the water most every day.

Matagorda Bay patterns help Captain Mark and his clientele
bring home fish when the other ones don’t. He would like to
share some of his knowledge of the Matagorda Bay system with
you on your next trip. Captain. Mark’s professional attitude,
knowledge and strong work ethic will ensure you of a safe
and successful trip. While wade fishing is preferred, drifting
with live bait is an alternative for those who want to stay
in the boat. He will custom tailor your trip, whether be for
the old pro or novice fisherman. Women and children are always

Guide Service also offers flounder gigging trips. No need
to get wet, stay dry in Matagorda's largest custom flounder
boat. Watch the Texas bay floor come to life under the powerful
LED lights at night. Trout, reds, flounder, sheepshead,
stingray, mullet, needle fish, black drum, croaker, crabs,
shrimp, and aligator gar are seen in large numbers. Try
your aim at a flounder with our gigs or bring your bow.
We can comfortably handle croups up to six persons. Captain
Mark was the first flounder guide in Matagorda. He has been
professionally guiding for over 30 years and will ensure
your trip is enjoyable, knowledgable and productive. Customers
